Here is the result...

And here is what it looked like before...

I have had some success with vinyl wrapping simple surfaces in the past, and also some failures (see my past posts) and after some research on how easy it was to replace the side chrome trim instead of wrapping it (not easy) I went with the A$7 option and bought myself 2 rolls of 30mm wide matte black self-adhesive 3 metre long vinyl wrap rolls.
Wrapping the flat part of the trim was easy but the ends were hard to make them look good. Heat and stretching worked the best. It was hard to fold over the wrap at the bottom of the trim and I ended up just jamming the wrap behind with a trim tool and cutting off any excess.
The rear side window trim was the hardest to wrap due to the curve, but I used some heat and stretched it into position.
All looked pretty good except one of those rear windows where there were some large bubbles.
After a day out in the sun the bubbles mostly disappeared, but unfortunately some of the wrap shrunk and revealed a little of the chrome behind.
It still looks good unless you are up close though.

The trim I bought is from this listing on Aliexpress.
