1.8-litre turbo engine can suffer from oil sludging which can lead to engine failure.
All engines except the 2.0-litre use a timing belt that requires regular replacement.
The continuously variable transmission (CVT) is known to be problematic and should be avoided.
Plenty of common problems including wipers, windows, ignition coils and some suspension components wear quickly.
