Attractive styling but the Dualis is a bit cheap and nasty and best avoided.

Nissan CVT transmissions are well known for not lasting long and being expensive to replace. The cost of replacing the CVT could exceed the value of the car.

The manual is not without problems as there are reports of premature clutch failure, some requiring replacement in as little as 30,000km.

Also reports of vibration at certain road speeds and headlights globes constantly failing.

This model has above average reports of reliability.

There were some problems with very early models catching fire due to a fuel leak, and some reports of engine failure caused by a screw in the intake system that could come loose and make its way into the engine, but cars with these issues are likely to have been long sorted out by now.

Some reports of excessive oil consumption so any vehicle exhibiting blue smoke should be avoided.

Some components like brakes and wheel bearings can wear quickly.

The engine uses a timing chain so no regular replacement is necessary.
